Easy Bead Wreath Ornament
"I love how easy this bead wreath ornament is to make! The kids had a blast and now we have a beautiful couple of Christmas wreath ornaments to put on the tree! Seriously, making homemade ornaments every year has become quite the tradition. Every holiday break, the kids and I find a few minutes to sit down and make all sorts of fun Christmas ornaments that they can put on the tree.
What Can You Use Homemade Ornaments For? Is there something more you can use homemade ornaments for? Besides just the regular, you know, putting them on the Christmas tree? The answer is yes. There are a ton of ideas for putting homemade ornaments out that aren’t just stashing them on the tree.
One of my favorite ideas is to put the ornaments on Christmas gifts instead of those cheap bows. I mean, don’t get me wrong, but 1980 is calling and they’d like their bows back. So, to kind of change it up and make the gifts more personalized, you can absolutely put a homemade ornament on them!
Another great use of homemade ornaments is to use them to decorate your Christmas wreath on the front door–or the one you’re going to give to the kids’ teacher, the wreath you’re making for your mother-in-law, whoever. You could also use your handmade ornaments to decorate your stockings, make a garland, hang from the stair rail, basically anything.
Homemade ornaments are awesome and fun–and really versatile!"

Materials List
- Assorted beads in green, red, and silver
- Silver wire (20 or 22 gauge)
- Ribbon
- Wire cutters and/or needle nose pliers with wire cutter
- Scissors
Instructions
-
Cut a length of wire about 6-8 inches, depending how big you might want your wreath.
-
With your pliers, bend one end of the wire into a 90-degree (or so) angle to keep the beads from falling off.
-
Thread beads onto the wire in the pattern you desire until the wire is full with about 1/2 inch of wire un-threaded.
-
Twist the two ends of the wire around each other to form a circle, taking care to tuck any sharp end into the beads.

Tie on a decorative ribbon at the top.
