Love the look of this, and I could see this becoming a family tradition by making a new one each year. We used to have a huge pine tree with big pine cones and I would have loved this. Wonder how long it would last. Could a coat of clear decoupage help to preserve it? That would be a neat way to add glitter or a snow effect to the tips of the cones.

This is a nice way to make a table pieces to get the attention of people that come to visit for holiday dinners. I would love to decorate this with some little colored balls and garland or glittered pipe cleaners. Have you tried gluing stuff to the pine cones? What type of glue did you use if so? Thanks for posting. I want to make one of these.

Wow oh wow, How beautiful is this Pine Cone Tree. I love it! I like the pictures to show how to build this tree and like the fact that there is not a styrofoam cone used as a base. I think this would make a beautiful table top centerpiece, with added miniature birds or even small colored balls will make it even better. The ideas are endless, or even leaving it natural will be nice too. So making this one! Thank you so much for this beautiful free Christmas craft.

I love this pine cone Christmas tree a lot. What a great way to get the whole family together to create this beauty and if you have a lot of pine cones in your yard that is a plus because your cost will go way down. I love that you can control how big or small you want to make this Christmas tree by how many pine cones you use. This is also a great way to teach the small ones how to create and put together a project. I bet it would smell wonderful to add a smell to your pine cones by putting some essential oils on the pine cones. Thanks for the tutorial.
