So the ice does not do anything but make the holes in the candles? I have never heard of making them this way before, but I am so intrigued. This craft looks like so much fun. Are they real fragile? Can you leave them out room temperature and use them, or do you need to keep them in a cool room to keep them harder? Would they work better for the porch?

I have seen variations of these many times and always thought it would be fun to try, but never have. After looking at her page, I think I will this time, mainly because I want to see one as it burns down. I don't remember ever seeing that and she doesn't have any pictures of it.

I did these when I was a kid in girl scouts. I did these again a few yrs ago and use them with my White/Apple green Christmas theme.

This artist talks to you just like you're in the kitchen with her making these! Soooo fun! WOW! You'd have a lot of variety when it comes to coloring them and the additional ornaments too. I like the holes that the ice leaves behind and the prettiness of them being set in a snow drift. I think the red and green ones are my favorites!
