Quilled Paper Christmas Tree Craft for Kids
"The Christmas tree craft is a project that the whole family can participate in making it. There are steps such as painting, quilling and gluing, so everyone will have something to do. Quilling circles is quite simple and once the kids get the hang of the techique, they will want to make lots of them. These circles are a bit larger so they are also easier to handle. A few color circles are added amongst the green circles to resemble baubles and a little quilled paper star tops the tree off."

I love this tree idea as a way to introduce children to the enjoyable craft of paper quilling. Quilling appears daunting but it is quite easy and inexpensive. You can easily use a corsage pin rather than a commercial tool to make the pieces for a project. Once you know you love making quilled art (or your child does) then it's tie to get a slotted tool. Have you tried quilling yet?

Quilled paper is so versatile and fun, right? I like that this craft gives little ones some hand and eye coordination practice and works the little muscles in the hand improving dexterity. I think crafts like these are important to do once in a while to give children a fun yet helpful activity.
