When you have a big bottle of buttons that you have nothing else to do but what for a shirt with one missing to use it, then you may as well recycle some of them to make this fun ornament. You can even use this as a tree topper if you wanted. You can make all types of designs and use iridescent ones for some shimmering too.

Now this is right up my alley. I have almost a thousand buttons. I use them on my hand crochet items. And you don't have to pay a fortune for them. Go to your local thrift shops and look around. I found a coffee can full of assorted buttons for $3. There were all kinds, from big to small, every color you could think of. Plastic, wood and metal. So check out thise places.
