Frosty, Icy No-Mess Ornaments
"If you lovethe "glitter on the inside" ornaments, then you'll also love these! Crafted the same way, these frosty, icy ball ornament is made using clear, glass craft store ornaments. Floor polish is added to the inside, and then kosher salt. The salt is carefully distributed around the inside by gently rolling and turning the ball in your hand. Then, you add some white or pearlescent glitter to fill in any empty spots. Pour out the excess and replace the ornament cap- that's it! And it looks like it was hand-formed straight from ice and snow."

This is very clever! I've never thought of using salt to mimic ice crystals. It looks so expensive!
