Quilted Christmas Stockings from Baby Clothes
"I created a contrasting pair of colorful Christmas stockings out of sentimental baby clothes. To begin with, I chose 5 pieces of clothing with coordinating colors. I cut each into 3 inch strips. Then, using a stocking template I quilted the strips directly onto the batting. Using the same stocking template, I cut out two pieces from a soft blanket for the lining. The next step was to sew together the cuff. Once all the pieces were cut out, I sewed them all together along the top edge. Finally I turned the entire stocking right side out."

NotesThis is a great way to re-purpose sentimental baby clothes. I love taking these out at Christmas time because I'm reminded of when our children were babies.

You never know what to do with all the baby clothes after they grow out of them do you? I think this is such a great way to repurpose some of your favorite outfits and make an item that will last for a long time. I know my mom still has some of the stockings and such we had when we were babies, so this could last at least a generation.
