DIY Clutch Bag
Stay organized and fashionable during the holidays with a DIY Clutch Bag. You can make this DIY bag using the same handy organizing supplies you normally work with, but with your own designer twist. This do it yourself fashion accessory is perfect for keeping track of receipts and expenses during the holidays, and it also makes for a practical, but chic gift to give. Think of how much space and time you'll save if you have this crafty little clutch to use.
Materials:
- 10” X 12” Fabric X 2 (your choice)
- 10” X 12” thick interfacing
- 8” velcro
- file folders
Tools:
- Sewing Machine
- Coordinating thread
- Ruler
- Chalk or fabric marker
- Scissors
- Pins
Optional:
- Paper cutter
- Iron and Ironing board
Instructions:
1. Cut fabric as follows:
• Cut 2 rectangles of fabric each 12” X 10”
• Cut 1 rectangle of thick interfacing 12” X 10”
• Cut velcro 8”
2. Place down interfacing, then right side up fabric, then right side down fabric. You may want to pin this together
3. Sew with 1/2” seam allowance all the way around, leaving 4” opening for turning
4. Turn fabric so that the 2 good sides face out. Optional: Iron project
5. Top stitch 1/4” seam all the way around
6. Fold up 4.5” inches
7. Position velcro 1/2” from top of the organizer and 1/2” from the inside so that they match
8. Sew velcro into place
9. Sew sides of the coupon organizer
10.To make dividers, cut the top of each file folder 4.25” tall and 8” wide
Dividers should fit into the organizer perfectly. Write or print labels for each divider

Who doesn't want a little clutch purse like this to carry around during the holidays? I would love for someone to make me one of these and wrap it up for Christmas. I am a huge fan of homemade and handmade crafts. I think the time and love that a person puts into the gift makes it more special.
