What a neat idea. I could see using this craft form for making not only Christmas banners but any holiday or occasion. This would be a nice birthday banner idea too. I would think decorative cardstock could be used too. I have saved cards over the years that we received from friends and family and that would make a special banner for me. Wouldn't this be a neat idea for an anniversary party with family photos printed out on cardstock? The wooden banner plaques and this method of crafting with them gives me all kinds of ideas.

I didn't get lucky enough to find vintage cards at the thrift store or anywhere else, but I think any themed cards could be displayed this way. There are some cards with Coca Cola's jolly old Santa on them that would be really neat for that kind of display at Christmas time.
