Christmas Cord Knotted Earrings

If you're looking for DIY projects, gifts and more for the holiday season, use what you have an create Christmas Cord Knotted Earrings. Save festive a half of a yard of red cord and pull out your hot glue gun to create these fun and simple earrings.


 

Materials:

• 1/2 yard red cord
• Mod Podge (or clear sealant) & foam brush
• Hot glue gun and glue stick
• Flat post earrings with earring back
• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Tie love knot by making 2 loops and threading cord over, under, then over and under the loops. Circle cord back around to the right and thread cord over, under, under and then pull to close.
    
2. Adjust knot strings until love knot is formed.
    
3. Repeat steps for a second love knot.
    
4. Cut excess cord.
    
5. Apply Mod Podge (or clear sealant) with your foam brush liberally.
    
6. Allow Mod Podge to dry completely.
    
7. Using the hot glue gun, apply hot glue to the flat post earring and attach love knot. Repeat for the second earring.
    
8. Allow to dry completely.
