Materials:

  • Felt in shades of grey and white
  • Template
  • Scissors
  • Glue

 

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the main image of the template.
  2. Cut the owl outline in one color.
  3. Begin cutting out the smaller portions of the template and creating the various other pieces out of the other colors of felt.
  4. Begin laying the pieces together on the base.
  5. Once you are done, start gluing the pieces down.
  6. Add a hook to the owl to hang on your holiday tree.

This is another excellent idea for an unbreakable ornament that my three year old granddaughter will be able to place on the tree. I think this would be a good craft project for scouts or 4-H members. It could be easily done during one craft session. I'd change the flower to a tiny wreath or holly leaves with berries. What do you think?
