Old Man Winter Jar Lid Ornament
If you love covering your home in vintage crafts every Christmas, then we have one of the most incredible Christmas ornaments to make. This Old Man Winter Jar Lid Ornament is as stunning as it is fun to make, especially for people who love making detailed ornament crafts. Mason jars are one of the best craft materials but many don't use the lids. This DIY Christmas ornament only uses the lid, so it works out. The vintage image of Old Man Winter (or a classic Santa) is accented by ice and paper poinsettia embellishments which really push that old-fashioned look.

I love the way she did it! I wanted to use the image she used, but my browers say the link she gave to the site that has it is unsafe, so I won't. I can find others, and I can only hope that mine turns out as nice as hers. By the way, I don't think it's safe to mix vinegar and bleach. Vinegar by itself will rust canning jar rings nicely.

What a sweet ornament. I have Christmas cards in boxes in my closet that would work great in these. I could make the Christmas story, I have the magi, the shepherds, the nativity scene, oh now I am getting excited to make it. Thank you for lighting my spark of imagination. It's going to be an old fashion Christmas!
