Wood Spindle Snowman

"This adorable little snowman was made from a wooden spindle. I started by giving the snowman a couple coats of white chalk paint. For the snowman’s face I used black for the eyes and mouth, rose pink for the cheeks, orange and burnt sienna for the carrot nose. For the hat I used air-dry clay using the snowman’s head to form the hat. Once I got the hat formed it wouldn’t come off the wood spindle snowman so I just left it there to dry. To paint the hat I first wrapped the face of the snowman with plastic wrap. The arms were made from twisted wire. The mittens were made out of black felt then tied onto the wire arms using thread. A ribbon scarf and wood buttons finished off this fun spindle snowman. "
