Do you ever use the runner and add on to it after the holidays? I think it is a great starter for a blanket or couch throw. You could use it to let guests wrap up during the holidays too. I bet it would be just as festive as a throw as it would be a centerpiece.

I have used this sewing technique to create small children's blankets in the past but never thought of using it to create a table runner. I have seen holiday themed fabrics at the fabric store and think you could sew one of these for any occasion (Easter, Valentine's Day, Hallowe'en, etc.) I think that these would make wonderful Holiday gifts.
