Christmas Clippings Tabletop Tree
Don't toss out your tree trimmings this year. Instead, make your own mini tree with the leftovers. This Christmas Clippings Tabletop Tree is created by arranging tree branches in a foam block, but you'd never guess it wasn't a tabletop Christmas tree purchased from the florist. If you aren't planning on doing any tree trimming of your own, you may be able to find evergreen branches in your yard or surrounding forests or pick some up from Christmas tree lots. You can add pine cones and berries into the mix, too.

We always get a real tree now that the kids are older. It seems to make the holidays more genuine for all of us since we look for the tree together. I like that we can take the clippings and make even more things with the pieces we cut off. Do you make wreaths out of the extra branches too?

I don't use a real tree any more, but I do have a spruce in the back yard I could cut a few pieces from around Christmas. I like the way this looks and I can imagine that it smells good, too. How about putting some of those miniature ornaments on it?
