I have seen these trees all over the place, but I have never tried them before. I want to make a bunch of these to see how they turn out. How do you get your pleats to stay even? I always get one bigger than the next and so on.

my aunt taught me how to make these in the 60's, when i was much, much younger! they were made out of "reader digest mag's" and after they were done we would paint them or glue buttons on them, so much fun...try doing that with a child these days, they probably would ask "where do i plug it in?" little do they know what they are missing... my 2 daughters and i made them in the 70'80's...believe it or not, they had fun!!!
