"Darla and Andrew asked for Santa Hats they could wear outside this winter…which means (yeah!) you get a free pattern :) This is an easy pattern - using chain stitches, single crochet, stitches, double crochet stitches and for the brim/band you will need to understand how to work in the back loop of the stitches. This is a quick hat to make. The designer is very thorough in her instructions, and the pattern is easy to follow. She has added sizing for everyone. The yarn used is inexpensive and usually easy to find. If you wanted to make the trim and pompom fuzzy, you can easily brush this yarn to get that effect, or you could simply use eyelash yarn for it.

How could you not make one of these hats for everyone in the family? I know my family would all wear these and take lots of holiday pictures. I think we might even make these into cards if we have enough time when I get them done. What a fun idea.
