Simple Stamped Coaster
Need a last minute DIY Christmas decoration to match your Christmas home decor? The answer couldn't be easier than a Simple Stamped Coaster. You can use any design of your choosing to make practical decorations that you can put out for holiday parties or just to have around the house during the Christmas season. This tutorial is also useful if you want to learn to make craft projects that are also useful in your everyday life.
Materials:
- 4” by 4” natural stone travertine tile
- Stamp
- Ink pad (ink for non-paper surfaces)
- Cookie sheet
- Oven
- 4 self-adhesive felt circles per tile
Instructions:
- Ink stamp evenly.
- Position stamp over tile and press down evenly
- Remove stamp by pulling straight up
- Re-ink stamp between each tile
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
- Place tiles on a cookie sheet
- Bake tiles for 30 minutes at 300 degrees F. Turn off oven when complete
- Optional: Allow tiles to cool in oven
- Remove tiles from oven
- Turn tile to non-stamped side. Place a self-adhesive felt circle at the corner of each tile
