This is a really cute idea, and there is no electricity required. The light will reflect off of the sequins to make them sparkle. The project calls for the 2 inch sized Styrofoam eggs, but if you can find bigger ones, I bet they would look great hanging on the front porch.

I would never have thought that these ornaments began as a piece of styrofoam. Where did you come up with such an idea? I love it! I want to make a whole batch of these lights and hang them from a string and put them around my doorways. Forget about needing an outlet close or digging out an extension cord, just make some styrofoam lights and have fun.

I love this idea! I love the look of big chunky lights, but they can be so pricey! This is the perfect way to get the same look and have lots of fun crafting it.

These jumbo light are so flipping cool! I would love to create a bunch of them and string them as a garland for my tree. They would give such a festive sparkle when the light hits them. Has anyone had any trouble getting the hot glue to stick on the styrofoam? Sometimes I have difficulty with melting the foam when I use hot glue. Maybe there is a better alternative? Or maybe I should just improve my diy gluing skills lol!

What a hilarious Christmas decor idea! This is way beyond cool. Very artistic. These glittery, jumbo bulbs will definitely light up your house during the holidays. It is easy and cost effective, too.

This is really cool.
