Your table decor will be able to speak for itself at the Christmas party if you have a Dollar Store Christmas Plate. Being thrifty is one of the best ways to get great deals on materials, and this also allows you to put your own spin on everyday items. A regular plate becomes a message of Christmas cheer with a simple painting craft tutorial. You can even sit them up and have them as part of your Christmas decorations this year.

I love the idea of using a line from a movie, or lyrics from a favorite Christmas carol. I'm not sure if I will paint my plate, so I am going to see what the dollar store sells that has a print or stripes. Otherwise, I will cut out some snowflakes or ornaments with my die-cutter and decorate with those.

Oh my gosh! I would never have thought that you could create something so cute from a dollar store plate! These would be absolutely wonderful to make up with kids (or my students at school) to give out to friends and family during the Holidays. I think that I would use this idea throughout the year and use different themes (like Hallowe'en with spooky quotes or Valentine's Day with cute love quotes.) They are absolutely lovely.

I think the hardest thing to do will be to decide what to write on the plate. I really think this is a wonderful idea and is fully personalizable. This could be your decor or a gift for that special someone. Who says all of our gift must coast a lot of money and if you take the time when making this, they will think it did cost a lot.

This is such a personalizable gift idea. Not only can the plate be used to design something wonderful to display during the Christmas holidays, the idea can be used for each holiday through the year or just to commemorative a special occasion like a birthday or wedding. Splendid idea.

What an idea. Who would ever think it came from the dollar store? I have seen them there along with glass dishes. I was thinking of doing something on the back side of the glass dishes so that I could still use them. This would be great in a Christmas theme or paint on fall leaves for thanksgiving.
