This could be easily done on the plastic rings that are part of a milk or juice bottle cap. You can make them in different sizes according to the ring size. They will be so cute strung on fishing line and hung in windows, on the tree, all over the house. An easy craft you can work on them as you sit and relax or when traveling in a vehicle. Dozens can be made for under five dollars.

These are really cute and are very quick to make. They make nice ornaments, but you can also use them as pulls for blinds, light switch cords, etc. If you dont have a ring for the center, you could crochet a chain the size you need, then join to form a ring and crochet around it. It wont be as firm in the center, but it will still work.
