What is better for the environment than salvaging a couple of pieces of wood and repurposing them to create a whole new decoration? I love that you chose to add the word joy. You could also do a peace, love or noel sign that looks just as stunning. I can see using a fence post and attaching four of these word signs to it if I left the boards intact. I think it will look fun either way.
