What a cute idea and a great place to start! You really have the beginnings of some great thrifty,creative and easy gifts! First off, I believe your cost estimate is much too high- you could spend that but it isn't necessary. The fronts of the sachets could be muslin or tone on tone cotton while the backs could be scraps or patchwork of christmas fabric.The sentiments that you have printed on could be written on or embroidered on. There is no end to the trims etc. that they could be embellished with including buttons. The stuffing could be potpourri or essential oil mixed with fiberfill. These would be great package decorations or sets of them would be great hostess or teacher gifts. Any place you need a little fill in gift a pair or more of these could be the perfect,economical,hand-made touch you were looking for.
